Current Responsibilities
As President and CEO of Hayes Consulting, LLC, a systems integration and IT operations consulting firm, Ms. Hayes drove the rapid transition of all services for a data center migration including servers, SAN & NAS Storage, E-Mail migration, ERP and desktop applications, workstations, help desk, security, asset management, software contracts, and processes and procedures. She created unique service agreements between two divested Energy & Petroleum Companies, and ultimately extended to 63 vendors which allowed continual use of products and service during the 1-year transition period.
Past Experiences
- As Vice President for Qwest Communications Information Technology Operations post US West merger Ms. Hayes oversaw an operations team and reduced expenses by 50% and reduced staff by 40%, while delivering substantial operational, project management, service and infrastructure security improvements. She restructured the Project Management Office to better support the corporate IT strategy and RAD methodology for 90-day deliverable project cycles including a web portal for quick tracking of hundreds of simultaneous projects. She reduced mean time to repair by 35%, achieved a 66% reduction in major outage events and maintained critical service levels by establishing the Service Management Office.
- As Director for Qwest Communications Information Technology pre US West merger Ms. Hayes held several positions. She led the Consumer Markets technology group and saved $50M through strategic building, reorganization and consolidation of call centers. She lead the IT customer care and billing group and successfully converted 600,000 consumer, business, and wholesale customers to a single platform with enhanced invoicing, billing features, and payment options to handle increased transaction volume. She eliminated 6 billing platforms, saving $12M annually.
- As Group Lead for American Management Systems, a $1 billion international provider of software solutions, Ms. Hayes worked overseas serving clients in Stockholm, London and Leeds, England. She created System Architecture and Job Flow Diagrams specifying 12 system modules that allowed for flow-through provisioning of new customers, which decrease the cost per new customer set-up by 25%.
- As Regional Accounting Manager for SAFECO Insurance Company Ms. Hayes executed a 17-month business process reengineering project consolidating three divisional offices into one regional office.
