Short Description:
This course privides an introduction to the object-oriented paradigm and to Object-Oriented Analysis and Design. In this course the students will explore the value proposition for the object-oriented paradigm and learn the intended benefits of OOA&D. They will learn the basic concepts of the object-oriented paradigm and how to use them. They will learn how to identify / discover the natural objects and classes of a system and what constitutes a well-formed class. They will learn the relationships between classes and how to document them. They will explore the software development process used to develop systems based on object-oriented software and why iterative development and incremental releases are necessary.
